Oval Risk Services has linked with a specialist engineering inspection service provider in order to offer expert testing and inspection of fixed wiring installations. We can arrange for engineer surveyors to visit your premises, anywhere in the UK, to give an unbiased, professional view of the condition of wiring. In fact, proof of these inspections can in some cases lower your insurance premiums.
We can arrange for a number of electrical inspection services in addition to the two standard services below:
- IS1 –Depending on whether the inspection periodicity is every 3 or every 5 years, a location will be split into 3 or 5 sections accordingly. We can arrange for an engineer to carry out a 100% visual inspection and test 20% of all final circuits in a different section each year resulting in a visual inspection of the whole installation and testing of 20% of all final circuits within the stated periodicity.
- IS2 - For locations that cannot be readily divided into sections, we can arrange for an engineer to carry out a visual inspection of the whole installation and test 20% of all final circuits.
Importantly we can also arrange for an engineer to carry out a routine check – a simple visual assessment of wiring condition, which can be carried out in support of IS1 or 2. This ensures that any serious (Code 1) defects previously identified have been rectified and that safety has been maintained, whilst giving you warning of potential wiring issues.
