Oval receives Insurance Broker of the Year Award

The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has awarded Oval Insurance Broking Ltd (Oval) its Insurance Broker of the Year award.

The award is given to the commercial insurance broker that best supports its clients through risk management strategies. The board of judges is made up of senior members of the IRM, as well as senior representatives from the risk management and insurance industry.

At the same awards ceremony, one of Oval’s clients, Subway, was awarded the Risk Communication Strategy of the Year award for a project it undertook in conjunction with Oval. Oval has assisted the sandwich store franchise in the development and implementation a number of strategies to help identify and minimise risks for Subway franchisees across the UK.
 
The project with Subway included a series of bulletins for franchisees aimed at helping them identify and manage risks, presented in a format accessible enough to be used by management and employees alike. Using the experiences of Subway franchisees from across the UK, the bulletins demonstrated lessons learned from individual experiences, ensuring safeguards against risk could be effectively implemented, even by those who hadn’t directly experienced the risk.

Everyone at Oval involved in the Subway project is very pleased that their work, and that of Subway, has been recognised in this way.
