Double win for Oval at Insurance Times Awards

Oval Insurance Broking (Oval) has been awarded Commercial Lines Broker of the Year at the 2010 Insurance Times Awards held in London this week.

The awards, given by leading insurance magazine Insurance Times, are described as a celebration of the best the insurance industry has to offer. The award reflects Oval’s commitment to service delivery and growth. The award-winning bid was put together by Midlands-based Marketing Director Nigel Lindsay-Smith with help and advice from Anita Watson, Andy Walker and Sandy Woltmann, with additional input from Matt Alcott and Terry Moyes, who also presented the pitch.

Additionally, at the same ceremony, the final award of the evening was presented to Oval CEO Phillip Hodson, who was awarded the Broker Chief Executives’ Chief Executive Award.

This award was voted on by Mr Hodson’s peers in the industry and demonstrates the respect felt for him throughout the industry for the crucial role he has played in growing and developing Oval.

Oval’s success in the Insurance Times Awards follows recent successes in the Risk Management Awards, where Oval was awarded Insurance Broker of the Year, and the assessment process for Investors in Customers, which saw Oval awarded an “outstanding” 2-star classification for customer service excellence.
