Car transportation and vehicle storage

We understand the complexities involved in the car transportation industry.

We know that a large number of motor fleet policies do not provide cover for the loading and unloading of vehicles, and that some goods in transit policies have unworkable restrictions regarding removing keys from unattended vehicles.

We also know that for many manufacturers, significant damage to one of their new vehicles means writing off the vehicle and in many cases, crushing it. Some goods in transit insurers will only agree to pay for the damage that you directly cause, not the resultant crushing of an otherwise roadworthy vehicle.

For the larger operator, some policies may have inadequate limits of indemnity which may not take into account the fact that many operators load vehicles over the weekend and then leave these vehicles parked next to each other in a yard for the next one or two days.
